Hungry?
Fine dining, a pint at the pub, take away snacks - Apollo Bay has it all.
With a resident fishing fleet and the town's beach and harbour setting, it’s not surprising that some of our best chefs have taken their inspiration from the great culinary traditions of the Mediterranean.
Whether Spain and the Moorish influence of La Bimba, traditional Italian at Casalingo or the Greek islands and the middle east of Chris’, fine food is available on our doorstep. Both La Bimba and Chris’ have won high ratings in the 2012 edition of The Age Good Food Guide, with Chris's awarded "One Hat". That places Chris's in the top 10% of Victorian restaurants.
If your desire is simple modern Australian cuisine there are a number of good quality bistros, none better than The Vista which specialises in fresh seafood sourced from local fishermen. The results always receive rave reviews from our guests. No modern Australian mix would be complete without Chinese and Thai. And our two pubs round out Apollo Bay’s dining experience, both with extensive bistro menus and solid wine lists.
If you want to bring food back there are choices of seafood, salads, pizza, or bakery.
Apollo Bay restaurants and cafes cater for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the year. You won’t be disappointed.
