In The Age "Good Food Guide" for 2011 La Bimba scored a sensational 14.5 (rating 'very good').

It joins only one other restaurant in Apollo Bay to achieve this rating. The Guide noted the owners' commitment to local produce, now enhanced with their purchase of a local truffle farm. Local seafood fills out the offering.

The La Bimba experience starts as you mount the stairs and take in the panorama of the beach and hills. It continues with an interesting menu leaning to Spanish and Portugese, and high standards of food and service.
